GOALS OF THE LEAF GRANT PROGRAM â€‹

  1. To encourage collaboration among teachers, administrators, parents, and community groups to benefit the Lunenburg Public Schools.

  2. To provide innovative curricular development that is beyond the scope of the typical school budget in order to benefit the Lunenburg Public Schools and the students. Creative ideas can be ones that reflect alternative approaches to typical instruction.

LEAF grants are not intended to replace or relieve existing responsibility for public funding of programs for the public school system, nor are they intended to substitute for normal budget growth and maintenance. They are to support creative ideas, which align with the district's curriculum and standards. These proposals can reflect alternative approaches to typical instruction supported by administration. All unused materials become property of the district.

CRITERIA

Successful applicants will address their proposed curricular development specifically to the goals outlined by LEAF. Proposals are elevated on the basis of clarity and relation to the mission of the foundation. Recipients will be asked to share the outcomes associated with the proposal. Outcomes will be shared with funders on an annual basis in the form of web-published reporting and other public presentations.
