

1. SIBYL KAUFMAN
Sibyl is relatively new to Lunenburg but no stranger to education advocacy. In eons past, as a graduate student, she studied international education policy and public relations, which taught her the value of investing in the places she called home. Professionally, Sibyl leads the marketing and communications team at Tufts University School of Medicine. Her work for education and social service non-profits prepared her well for the opportunity to help found Lunenburg's first-ever education foundation. Sibyl lives and plays outside with her husband and two young sons, who remind her that there really is no hill for a climber.
2. GIAVANA MORETTO
Gia has worked in the special education field for over a decade. She is currently employed as a Senior Behavior Technician at SEBC, while working towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Gia moved to Lunenburg in 2013 with her husband and their two young children. She enjoys exploring local trails, beekeeping, and being a part of this wonderful community. Ever passionate about her children's education, she helped found LEAF as a way to bring exciting and innovative projects into Lunenburg classrooms.
3. NANCY MURRAY
Nancy is a Professor and Chair of several graduate programs at Fitchburg State University. With over 30 years experience in education, she has served in various roles, including general educator, special educator, college professor, and Dean of the School of Education at Fitchburg State. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to promoting inclusive and equitable opportunities, ensuring that both content and learning experiences are accessible to all individuals. Nancy has 3 grandchildren who attend Lunenburg Public Schools.
4. MICHELLE DELLAVALLE
Michelle has worked in education for over two decades in various classroom and administrative roles. She currently works as a district-level student services administrator. Michelle’s passion for inclusive and equitable education practices drove her to get involved with LEAF, as she's seen, firsthand, the benefits that education foundations can provide to students through innovative and creative projects. She’s excited to support such opportunities in the Lunenburg community. Michelle and her husband have lived in Lunenburg since 2008. She is a proud mom to two children ages 12 and 15.
5. ROBERT SHAPIRO
Rob is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorders certificate programs at Fitchburg State University, and is the founder of Shapiro Educational & Behavioral Consultants, an agency providing Applied Behavior Analysis supports for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders throughout Central Massachusetts. He’s lived in Lunenburg with his wife, Colleen, since 2005, and their three children are all graduates of the Lunenburg Public Schools.
6. LAURA BRZOZOSKI
Laura Brzozoski is the Lunenburg School Committee liason to LEAF. Laura has called Lunenburg home since 2008, when she put down her roots here and started her family. She's in her first term on the School Committee, and previously served on the Cultural Council as Chair and facilitated the Lunenburg Arts Festival. She's a mom to children in the Lunenburg School District and passionate about public education. Laura is a graduate of Clark University.
7. KRISTEN MCEACHERN
Kristen is a special educator with over 20 years of experience supporting students from birth through age 22, including those with global developmental delays, behavioral and emotional challenges, and gifted learners. She has worked as a Speech Assistant, holds a Mater's degree as a Reading Specialist, and brings expertise in child development, language, and literacy. As both an educator and a parent of three children - ages 4,6, and 8 - in Lunenburg schools, Kristen is passionate about strengthening support systems so that all students can thrive. She looks forward to bringing her knowledge, perspective, and commitment to the board.
